Marianne Dickie is a migration industry veteran and academic, and the Immigration and complex caseworker for Senator Larissa Waters. She is currently undertaking a doctorate at USQ and is co-editor of the Lexis Nexis Immigration Review Bulletin As an academic, she regularly contributes to Senate inquiries, law reviews and public commentary.
In 2007 she established a pro bono migration clinic in the ACT providing support previously unavailable to local migrants. The clinic ran until 2017 when it was taken into ACT Legal Aid.
Her commitment to human rights was recognised by the community in 2012 when she was a finalist in the ACT Australian of the Year.
